Prevention & Community Engagement

At Redeeming Lives, we are committed to equipping youth with the tools, values, and opportunities they need to thrive. Our programs are designed to prevent risky behaviors, promote healthy decision-making, and foster personal growth. From life skills and mentoring to prevention, intervention, and restorative programs, each service empowers young people to build confidence, take responsibility, and prepare for a successful future.

Anger Management

Our Anger Management Program helps participants recognize triggers, control responses, and develop healthier ways of coping. Using a SAMHSA-based curriculum, we teach practical tools to reduce anger, improve communication, and build stronger relationships

Abstinence Program

Our Abstinence Program empowers youth to make clear and responsible decisions about relationships and sexual health. Participants practice skills to assert their intentions, handle peer pressure, and redirect when needed. Rooted in Christian values, this program encourages healthy boundaries, respect for self and others, and long-term positive choices.

Choice Group

The Choice Group is designed to help participants understand the impact of decision-making. Through engaging discussions and practical activities, participants gain insight into the real-life consequences of poor choices and learn strategies for making wiser, more responsible decisions in the future.

Community Service

Our Community Service Program engages youth in meaningful projects that give back to their communities. Participants learn the value of civic responsibility, teamwork, and service while developing a strong sense of civic duty and national pride. This program encourages youth to become active, responsible citizens who make a positive impact on society.

Life Skills

The Life Skills Program provides youth and young adults (ages 14 and older) with essential tools for everyday living. Through structured, age-appropriate training, participants build core competencies such as decision-making, problem-solving, communication, financial literacy, and goal setting. This program equips young people with the confidence and skills they need for a successful transition into adulthood.

Teen Intervention

Our Teen Intervention Program provides a short-term, focused approach for adolescents struggling with substance use. Using stages of change theory, motivational interviewing, and brief cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), participants receive practical tools for change in just three to four sessions.

Mentoring

The Mentoring Program fosters long-term, supportive relationships between caring adult role models and youth ages 6–18. Through consistent guidance and encouragement, mentors help young people build confidence, resilience, and a vision for their future.

Youth Smart

Youth Smart equips under-resourced minority youth with the skills and opportunities needed for growth and healthy living. Through structured, community-based programs with a strong focus on prevention, participants are empowered to prepare for adulthood with confidence.

Y.E.S. (Youth Educational Shoplifting Program)

The Y.E.S. Program is designed for juvenile offenders who have been caught shoplifting. It helps participants understand the underlying causes of their actions, recognize the consequences of theft, and develop strategies to make better choices in the future.
